Prep For I Am My Own Wife

The show that we are going to be seeing on Thursday sounds really interesting. I really like how this show is focusing on pressing historical and societal issues. A lot of people have constructs about transgender people, so I think it’s actually important for people to come see the show to get a better grasp as to what their reality is really like. It’s also really interesting that Lothar’s transition to becoming Charlotte is occuring during World War II, and additionally, Lothar was raised by a Nazi. I think this factor is going to add another level of intensity and complexity to Charlotte’s story, that is going to draw the audience in and intrigue them.  This production of I Am My Own Wife is a one person show, with all about 30 characters being played by Mason Alexander Park.
